Incidentally, i'm not sure how to turn on progressive scan. i can't stand the angle at which the d-pads are placed on the xbox and gc pads, and i can't stand using the analog stick in games with digital control. its action is smooth, and more importantly it's in the primary position.
load times didn't seem unusually long, and they only happen between levels. don't remember noticing any in the gc version.

Oh, there is some very mild but fairly frequent slowdown in the ps2 version. it's not metal slug, but it's an enjoyable homage. you get lots of extra lives and shield pick-ups, so one credit play is entirely tenable, even with the vague sloppiness.
